Commission Terms

Thank you for choosing MyPacificRoad for your custom illustration. By placing a commission order and paying the deposit, you agree to the following terms.

Payment

A 30% deposit is required to reserve your commission and begin the commission process.

The remaining 70% balance will be invoiced separately and must be paid before the final high-resolution artwork is delivered.

Base prices include the subjects stated in your selected portrait style. Any additional person or pet is charged at €5 each and will be included when the final commission total and remaining balance are calculated.

Reference Photos and Information

After your order is placed, you will be asked to provide the reference photos and information needed to create your illustration.

Please provide clear reference photos whenever possible. Your illustration will be based on the photographs, descriptions, and other information you provide.

If an important detail is not visible or cannot reasonably be determined from the reference photographs (for example, the relative size of a pet) this can be clarified during the initial draft stage.

For Soul Companion Hearts, I will email you the available color options after your order is placed so you can choose your preferred colors.

Composition and Artistic Style

Your portrait will be created in the established MyPacificRoad illustration style shown in my portfolio and product examples.

I will first create and send you an initial uncolored draft showing the basic outline and composition of your illustration.

At this stage, you can review important elements such as:

* placement of people and pets

* relative size and proportions

* positioning within the scene

* poses and general composition

* other small structural adjustments

Reasonable changes at this stage are included in your commission.

This initial draft is specifically intended to make sure you are happy with the overall composition before the coloring and detailed rendering begins.

Once you approve the initial composition, I will continue with the color, details, and finished artwork.

Final Preview and Minor Revisions

Once the illustration has been colored and completed, I will send you a low-resolution preview of the finished artwork for approval.

At this stage, minor adjustments are still welcome. These may include changes such as:

* small color adjustments

* minor markings or details

* small clothing or accessory corrections

* flower or decorative color changes

* other adjustments that do not require the composition to be redrawn

Once color and detailed rendering have been completed, significant changes to the previously approved composition may require an additional fee.

Significant Changes and Additional Fees

Significant changes are requests that require substantial parts of the illustration to be redrawn after the initial composition has already been approved.

Examples may include:

* significantly changing a person’s or pet’s pose

* substantially repositioning people or pets

* changing the overall composition

* replacing reference photos and requesting a different pose or appearance

* changing or replacing a major background or scene element

* adding new people or pets after the composition has been approved

* requesting another major element that was not part of the original commission

If a requested change requires an additional fee, I will always explain the change and tell you the price before doing the additional work.

No additional work carrying an extra fee will be completed without your approval.

Approval and Final Payment

When you are happy with the finished low-resolution preview, the remaining balance of your commission will be due.

The remaining balance will be invoiced separately using the payment method provided to you.

Once the remaining balance has been paid, I will prepare and send your final high-resolution artwork.

Cancellations and Refunds

Because commissions are personalized and created specifically for each customer, the 30% deposit is refundable if you cancel before work on your commission has begun. Once I have started creating your initial draft, the deposit becomes non-refundable.

If you need to cancel your commission before work has started, please contact me as soon as possible.

Once the completed artwork has been approved and the final high-resolution file has been delivered, refunds are not available.

Turnaround

Typical turnaround is approximately 2–5 business days after I have contacted you by email and received all of the reference photos and information needed to begin your commission.

Sending reference photos before I contact you does not automatically begin the turnaround period. I will confirm by email when I have everything I need and your commission is ready to begin.

More complex commissions, particularly Storybook Scenes and Moonlight Series, may take longer depending on the number of subjects, level of detail, and the amount of revision or composition adjustment required.

Throughout the commission process, we will remain in contact by email so you can review the initial draft, approve the composition, and receive updates as the artwork progresses.

Final Delivery

Commissions are delivered as digital artwork only unless otherwise stated. No physical item is included.

After the remaining balance has been paid, you will receive the final high-resolution digital file, normally through WeTransfer or another secure digital file-transfer method.

The low-resolution previews sent during the approval process are for review purposes only and are not the final files.

Personal Use

Your commission is for personal use only unless we have agreed in writing to a separate commercial-use arrangement.

You may print the artwork for your own personal use or give printed copies as personal gifts.

You may not resell the artwork, redistribute the digital file, reproduce it for commercial purposes, claim the artwork as your own creation, or use it to create products for sale without written permission.

Portfolio and Social Media

Because these commissions are often deeply personal, I will ask for your permission before sharing your finished artwork on the MyPacificRoad website, portfolio, or social-media accounts.

I completely understand if you would prefer to keep your illustration private. If sharing it would make you uncomfortable for any reason, I will respect your wishes and will not publish it.

Agreement

By placing your commission order and selecting the agreement checkbox at checkout, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Commission Terms.
